 Ecommerce Templates offers native support for uploading images but the support is limited and the amount of time required to upload each one of the images and then define small and large versions of the image is more than necessary. It also offers no support for defining both the width and the height of the image due to the fact that typically when an image is re-sized it must maintain it's aspect ratio. This add-on rectifies this by allowing you to upload one giant image and crop the image within the browser to generate a properly re-sized large image and thumbnail image.
