cEdit Professional
cEdit Professional is the last stable release of cEdit. It is also the first version to be ported to Borland Delphi. cEdit Professional offers a large list of features and it is designed from the ground up to be very configurable. The GUI or graphical user interface is somewhat similar to older versions of HomeSite.
Purpose
The primary use of cEdit Professional is for editing source code. It has native support for over 40 programming languages and can be extended to include support for new languages using the options panel. Syntax highlighting is provided using a lexer format which allows for a wide range of options.
Benefits
cEdit Professional is both easy to use and light weight in resource consumption. Minimum system requirements are 32MB of memory and a Pentium processor or higher. It has been tested and confirmed to work properly in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
